Stephen Berhar, CEO
Though Stephen built his first set of speakers at eight years-old, he’s been doing it professionally since 1991. Stephen enjoys the challenge of consulting on complex installations. But his favorite part of the job is enhancing his customers’ quality of life. He lives for the moment customers realize Stereo Planet can make their entertainment and automation concepts a reality. Stephen feels blessed to live in beautiful Bend, Oregon with his family, and hopes that his love of the Lord shines through in everything he does.
Jon Houston, Sales Manager
Since his first job (11 years old, mowing lawns), Jon has known the value of hard work and attention to details. Whether he’s making product recommendations for an in-home sound system, or researching the installation specs for a 170 speaker, 15 screen setup—complete with motorized lifts—he tries to make a personal connection with each client. Jon holds an Associates Degree in Business Management and Marketing. He’s also an HTSA Level 2 Lighting Designer and an ALA Lighting Specialist. He also holds several other manufacturing certifications. Outside the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife and their four children.
Dan Urell, Custom Installation Manager
As our Custom Installation Manager, Dan ensures that our crews and customers have everything they need for a successful installation. He runs all of the daily operations for the crews, including scheduling, service, and inventory management. In this role, he strives to lead by example, and is always willing to roll up his sleeves and help get the job done. Dan works hard to ensure every customer has a world-class experience, providing the same level of care and service, no matter how large or small the job. When he’s not at work, he’s an avid flyfisher, and self-designated camp cook on wilderness treks.
