Luxury with a View
This modern rustic residence features gorgeous floor-to-ceiling windows, multiple outdoor sitting areas, and an open concept living and kitchen space. Stereo Planet worked closely with the builders to design and install a whole-home sound system that would meet the client’s primary needs: high quality sound that didn’t detract from the home’s modern rustic look and feel. We also worked closely with the contractor and finish carpenters to design, build, and install custom valances for motorized shades throughout the house. By the end of the project, the client had a home audio system powered by Sonos, custom valances for their Crestron shades, lighting automation at the touch of a button, and a space that was optimized for both indoor and outdoor entertainment.
Kitchen features custom shade valances as well as in-ceiling speakers and woofers for a whole-home sound experience. An in-wall 12” iPad Pro lets the homeowner control sound, lighting, and shades with just the touch of a button.
For this patio, we mounted 7 discreet speakers, bringing indoor entertainment outside. Plus, four additional in-ceiling speakers create an immersive listening experience.
In the living room, we installed four 3-inch in-ceiling speakers, plus an 8-inch in-ceiling subwoofer. Behind a rustic sliding barn door is a fully concealed Sony 65” OLED tv with Sonos playbar. When watching this tv, the homeowner can either use the Sonos or sync sound through the entire house.
The theater room revolves around a 5.1.2 Dolby Atmos surround sound system and Sony 77” OLED tv. We installed Sonance VP Cinema LCR2 speakers, a JL Audio subwoofer, and four 8-inch ceiling speakers (all powered by a top-of-the-line Yama surround sound receiver) to create an in-home cinema sound experience.
Outdoor Sonance speakers mounted in-ceiling provide a discreet but powerful sound experience on the home’s upper patio.
The dining room mirrors the kitchen in terms of speakers and subwoofers. But this space also features a Sony 65” tv on a swing-arm mount for easy movement.
The master bedroom features a Sony 65” OLED tv and a Sonos sound bar paired with in-ceiling speakers (5.1 Sonos surround sound). For this space, we integrated hard-wired speakers in conjunction with Sonos. The master bedroom also features a lighting keypad with an “All Off” button, so they can control whole-home lighting from the comfort of the bedroom.
