With a gorgeous view through picturesque floor-to-ceiling windows, this space is the perfect retreat for an avid music lover. Or it could be, with the right acoustic fixes. Stereo Planet took over this job after the house was built. As such, we focused on fixing the reverb and echo to create better acoustics. Over the last ten years, we’ve installed multiple custom sound panels, helped the client assemble a high end stereo system for the music room, and installed a Sony TV on a motorized lift that emerges from the floor at the foot of the bed. In the end, we were able to fix the space’s sound and create one-of-a-kind pieces of art using Vicoustic custom sound panels.
As a music lover, this client needed a high end sound system. A pair of Bowers & Wilkins CM9s, powered by a high end integrated amplifier and fed by computer audio, balanced quality and volume. Custom Vicoustic sound panels reduce echo and reverb in the room caused by so many hard surfaces, including drywall, concrete, glass, and tile.

Vicoustic custom sound panels depict a scene from the popular comic, Sin City. Because of the slightly-off angle of the wall, this installation was particularly challenging. It took a lot of care and precision to make sure the panels were straight and flush with the wall.

We installed a Sony TV on a motorized lift at the end of the bed. When not in use, it slips discreetly into a hidden panel in the floor.
